We are looking for a dynamic business development and retention specialist to liaise with the employer community to assist and oversee the Canada Ontario Job Grant Application Program. This role will also help to engage and retain our core client base. The successful candidate will work directly with employers and job seekers to help navigate the COJG process and provide guidance and support as needed.

To be successful as a business development and retention specialist, you should have exceptional time management skills and be able to handle administrative duties, including contracts. You have experience working in a performance-based environment and enjoy the challenge of targets. You will have a persuasive attitude, excellent customer relationship skills, and a passion for people.

Through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, Welland Heritage Council is providing an opportunity for a post-secondary student up to age 30 in accordance with program objectives to gain multicultural experience assisting with our programs.

MAIN DUTIES:

Plan and deliver program activities for secondary school age youth, focusing on connecting youth who are new to Canada with community volunteer opportunities, and mental health initiatives.

Maintain detailed records of all work.

Assist with answering phone when in the office.

Through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, Welland Heritage Council is providing an opportunity for a post-secondary student up to age 30 in accordance with program objectives to gain experience assisting with our Employment Solutions program.

MAIN DUTIES:

This position will be at our Employment Solutions program at a separate office location

Assist Client Retention Specialist, contacting clients as needed to determine current needs

Complete research on job trends in Niagara

Develop new workshops and online resources for Employment Solutions clients

Maintain detailed records of all work.

Assist with answering phone when in the office.
