Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre

Part of an ongoing DIY workshop series offered by the Welland Heritage Council, this sewing basics workshop provides community members a chance to learn how to use a sewing machine and complete a simple project. You can choose to make a reversible cloth bag, a pin cushion you can wear, or a simple pillow cover.

Where: Welland Heritage Council - 26 East Main Street, Welland
When: Saturday August 25th, 2pm to 5pm

Materials and machines are provided but space is limited and registration is required. Call Melissa at 905-732-5337 to reserve your spot.

FREE Bike Repair Clinic - Bring your bike and learn about basic maintenance and repairs that you can do yourself. Casual, hands-on learning environment. Oil, tools, and some small parts (ex. brake cables, chains, and tubes) available for on-site repairs. (NOTE: Bearing and some other repairs have an associated labor cost, but some parts can be provided for those in financial need.)

LOCATION: Merritt Island - Past the park, near the pavilion.
