Since 1976 the Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre has assisted thousands of immigrants overcome barriers to integration and watched with pride as they build new lives for themselves here in Canada. Our greatest contribution to our community is in helping immigrants gain the necessary skills to live and work in Canada, so that they can become successful contributing members of our society.

Celebrating Our Community

Events

Throughout the year we host and support many events that create awareness while celebrating the cultural history and diversity of our community. These events are often the first opportunity for many of our clients to interact on a social level with their new community. The success of the events is due in large part to the generous contributions of time and unique talents of our previous and current clientele. The various cultural groups in the City of Welland and surrounding areas open their doors to display their history, music, cultural traditions and foods and share their experiences with the community.
